When billionaire playboy Oliver Queen returns home from the dead to Starling City after five years stranded on a remote island in the Pacific, he hides the changes the experience had on him, while secretly seeking reconciliation with his ex girl friend, Laurel, who he cheated on with her sister, Sarah.

In the daytime, he picks up where he left off, playing the carefree philanderer he used to be, but at night he assumes the alter ego of Arrow and works to right the wrongs of his family and restore Starling City to its former glory. Complicating his mission is Laurel's father, Detective Quentin Lance, who is determined to put the vigilante behind bars.

• Stephen Amell (Related to Robbie Amell / The Tomorrow People. They starred together in the 2019 movie "Code 8") as billionaire Oliver Queen / Arrow. While he was on the island, he was forced to change his ways and become an expert archer and martial arts.
  
  
• David Ramsey as Olivers long-suffering bodyguard John Diggle, eventually John joins Oliver's team. John was a US marine and did a couple of tours in Afghanistan.
  
  
• Katie Cassidy Rodgers as Laurel Lance / Black Canary and Oliver's ex-girlfriend. She is also an attorney but turns vigilante.
  
  
• Willa Holland as Oliver's younger sister, Thea Queen / Speedy.
  
  
• Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak. She is an IT expert at Oliver's company but soon joins his vigilante team.
  
  
• Caity Lotz as Sarah Lance, Laurel's sister. In the pilot episode, Sarah was played by Jacqueline MacInnes Wood.
  
  
• Paul Blackthorne (Stephen Saunders in 24 Season 3) as Lauren & Sarah's father, detective Quentin Lance.
